More expensive than I would have expected. Slightly miserable bar staff. However, the aspect that really was a disappointment was our dinner in the restaurant. We ordered the steak, which was specifically labelled as cooked 'medium rare only' which is fine and led us to think that the chef knew what he was talking about when it came to how to cook steak. Regrettably, both our steaks were absolutely appalling. Tough and chewy and virtually inedible. My partner bravely continued out of politeness with it, but I had to request an alternative which was the turkey. I rarely complain but the steak was seriously bad. To say that my alternative looked like it had been hastily prepared and incredibly poorly presented is an understatement. It was tasty enough but chucked on the plate! Very disappointing and certainly not cheap either. There were very few people in the restaurant and by all accounts it is not busy most of the time. No great surprise. The chef and kitchen staff need to up their game big time as it was extremely poor, sorry!

Booked spa day for my daughters 18th. She was 18 on the actual day of the spa. She bought her first ever alcoholic drink at the bar, provided ID and was still charged full price for 2 Pimms. Would have been a nice gesture for hers to have been 'gifted' by the hotel. Also, £7 each for hire of bathrobe and slippers... non-refundable!! Bit steep. £5 back on return of them would be better idea. Never even used the slippers... huge! ~A special day made a little bit sour!

Only one gripe well two really. Beer prices a bit steep but don't see how they can justify charging golfers £3.10 for a cup of water and a teabag. C'mon play fair!
